Another schedule change!

Class, because two nights worth of classes were canceled last week, it seems like a number of schedule conflicts have been developing between Tuesday and Wednesday classes, so all Tuesday night classes will be made up this Friday, and our class will have to be made up on March 2nd (next week).

Sorry if you keep having to make changes to your schedule, but I just got notice of this from the school. Hopefully this will give you all more time to prepare yourselves and clear your schedules.

Schedule Update

It looks like, as per school policy, we will have to make up the class we are missing this week by coming in next Friday. Same time, same place. Check out the updated class schedule on the right side of this blog for the details regarding the reading assignments.

No class this week

Rejoice in the fact that school has been canceled for tomorrow, so we will not be meeting this week. I'll post a new entry later on letting you know how our schedule will change as a result for next week and the rest of the semester.

Dicussion on religion, relativism and tolerance

The following videos are of a presentation given by Sam Harris explaining his arguments concerning religious toleration. I thought this presentation would be a fitting transition from our class on the relationship between ethics and religion with our class on ethical relativism and cultural tolerance this week.

Obviously, there are many issues being raised by this talk, so feel free to comment.
