This is definitely a subject of much controversy. As a country who outsources a lot of our jobs etc., you would have to look at each thing individually. Do I think we outsource too much? ABSOLUTELY ! But, I do understand that we have to do this to stay competitive and to foster relations with other countries. If we refuse to outsource anything, we are then defying "free trade" which is beneficial for us as well as other countries.
By outsourcing labor to other countries we are creating a great risk of high unemployment rates. Higher unemployment rates can then lead to recession. Also, any job that is outsourced to another country is no longer the job of a US citizen. On the other hand, cheaper labor and materials means more capital in America. This is a great thing for the economy. I work for a company that outsources materials and manufacturing labor from China. If my bosses had to manufacture the goods here in America and pay US workers minimum wage, my company probably would not exist. So you have to think about how this allows new goods and services to be offered in America that otherwise might not be available if we did not outsource. Sorry for writing so much but I have a ton of opinions on this. Hey Mr. Ruiz...I might be changing my topic again.
I guess that outsourcing wouldn't be so bad if other countries outsourced more work to our country. Does anyone know how much American companies get outsourced…..if any?
My job is def. not secured....Is anyones!? I do believe that if any company could get cheaper means to get the job done....they would do it in a heart beat.I'm sure alot of our resources come from overseas......It is probly cheaper to export it then pay us Americans what we want an hour to do the job! Scary thought isnt it!?
